This is us – Renate, Katharina, Jakob and Ingo Wrann. As hosts with a proud 200-year family history in the hotel industry, our hearts beat for the hospitality sector. We place particular emphasis on personal contact with our guests, because for us, hospitality is more than just a word – it is a tradition that is deeply rooted in our family. WRANN HOTELS
More than 200 years of history
We look back on a fascinating family history dating back to 1787. At that time, Valentin Wrann received groundbreaking permission to serve travellers along the Vienna-Trieste route in Velden. This marked the beginning of our history – from a former post station to a hospitable inn, and finally to the hotel business known today as Hotel Post in Velden. Many generations later, in 1961, Jakob Wrann Senior expanded our legacy by building the Seehotel Europa in Velden, which is mainly geared towards summer business. However, our family's innovative spirit knew no bounds: in 1973, the Hotel Bergkristall in Oberlech was opened and successfully integrated itself into the emerging winter sports market. In spring 2021, the management of Wrann Hotels was handed over to the ninth generation of the family to continue this fascinating tradition of hospitality.

Our winter retreat
As summer at Lake Wörthersee gradually fades, and the lake falls silent, we embark on our own winter fairy tale. Nestled in the largest ski resort in Austria, the Arlberg, lies our Hotel Bergkristall in Oberlech. Here, during the winter months, we pursue our great passion and welcome guests to a place where winter wonders come to life. From the legendary sun terrace directly to the ski slope, floating in the modern Spa Chalet in wellness heaven, or experiencing culinary delights of the highest order – that's how winter holidays are spent in the Arlberg!
